Silvio Carta Su Puddu Vermentino 2023
Sardinia, Italy (75 cL)
Su Puddu Vermentino is produced in stainless steel tanks to keep fruit flavours and aromas fresh.
Straw-yellow color. The nose explodes with fragrances of yellow peach, sweet banana and tropical fruit, combined with hints of wild herbs. On the palate, it expresses all its freshness, confirming the olfactory sensations and leaving a pleasantly bitter note at the end. This wine is ideal as an aperitif, and goes very well with fish and seafood.
The story of Silvio Carta is such a romantic story, since 1950. The grandfather himself, Silvio Carta founded the winery at Baratili San Pietro, to the west of Sardinia, and set out to create the most extraordinary wine from a native grape and that’s how the Vernaccia di Oristano was born. Seventy years later, the family are still creating this wine with all the love and passion of the family. This wine was the catalyst that paved the way for the rest of the delicious wines and spirits that Silvio Carta make.
