Château Marsyas B-Qā Red 2020

A deep, generous blend shaped by dark fruit, spice and a remarkably polished tannic structure.

Born in the highlands of the Bekaa Valley, the B-Qā Red captures the sun-drenched character of its terroir while retaining the freshness that gives the wine its balance. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and cassis, gradually revealing layers of black pepper, Mediterranean herbs, cocoa and leather. The palate is generous and velvety, carried by ripe, precise tannins and a subtle mineral tension. Barrel ageing adds depth without overwhelming the fruit, while the long, gently spicy finish leaves an impression of controlled power. Generous yet elegant, this is a red that naturally belongs alongside herb-crusted roast lamb, grilled ribeye or a slow-cooked meat dish with warm spices.

Founded in 2005 by the Saadé family, Château Marsyas lies in the southern Bekaa Valley, at the foot of Mount Barouk. At around 900 metres above sea level, its vineyards are rooted in limestone soils marked by iron-rich elements, with bright days tempered by cool nights. Guided by Bordeaux consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt, the estate has developed a precise and sustainable approach to viticulture, with the ambition of allowing the character of this Lebanese terroir to speak clearly through the wines. The name Marsyas itself refers to the ancient name of the Bekaa Valley.
