Ixsir El White 2022

Ixsir El White 2022

Batroun, Lebanon (75 cL)

A rare and elegant Lebanese white wine where depth, freshness and complexity reveal the true nobility of high-altitude terroirs.

An exceptional cuvée where the richness of Viognier and the precision of Chardonnay create a white wine of remarkable ageing potential.

Born from carefully selected vineyards in Lebanon’s highlands, El White represents one of Ixsir’s most ambitious expressions. This blend of Viognier and Chardonnay reveals a deep and refined bouquet of white flowers, ripe peach, candied citrus, and delicate notes of vanilla and spices. On the palate, its generous and velvety texture unveils remarkable complexity, carried by a mineral freshness that brings balance and elegance. Ageing in French oak barrels enriches the aromatic profile without overshadowing the purity of the fruit, gradually revealing nuances of hazelnut, honey, and white-fleshed fruits. Both generous and precise, El White showcases Lebanon’s ability to craft distinctive white wines with the depth and character of the world’s finest expressions.

Founded in 2008 in the Batroun region of northern Lebanon, Ixsir set out to reveal the diversity of one of the world’s oldest wine regions. Rather than focusing on a single area, the estate chose to work with vineyards spread across the country, from the northern mountains to the Bekaa Valley and the South, capturing the full richness of Lebanese terroirs. This approach, combined with a winery architecture recognised for its environmental integration, has quickly established Ixsir as one of the most respected ambassadors of Lebanon’s modern wine renaissance.
