Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa Skyphos Xinomavro 2022

Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa Skyphos Xinomavro 2022

Macedonia, Greece (75 cL)

A bright, fresh Xinomavro shaped by red fruit, wild herbs and vibrant acidity.

A fresh, expressive Xinomavro where red fruit meets aromatic herbs and finely defined tannins.

Skyphos offers a particularly approachable expression of Xinomavro, made from certified-organic vineyards scattered across Naoussa and other wine-growing areas of Macedonia. The nose combines fresh red and black fruit with herbal notes, thyme and olive, alongside subtle earthy and smoky nuances.

On the palate, lively acidity meets supple fruit and rounded, well-integrated tannins. The fruit remains at the forefront, while the grape’s characteristic savoury and herbal character adds depth. The finish is long, fresh and gently spicy.

The grapes undergo around 18 days of maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine then spends four months in 500-litre used oak barrels, providing structure and texture while allowing the character of the Xinomavro to remain clearly in focus.

Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa is a collective of growers united by a shared commitment to one of Northern Greece’s defining grape varieties: Xinomavro. In the hills around Naoussa, they work certified-organic vineyards with a hands-off approach that places the focus on healthy soils, careful farming and the natural character of the fruit.
