Domaine de Baccari Blanc de Baccari 2023
Meknes, Morocco (75 cL)
Ideal with grilled fish and shellfish. Also perfect with goat or sheep cheeses.
A white wine with a pale yellow color and greenish highlights, Blanc de Baccari is made exclusively from Rolle (Vermentino) grapes grown meticulously in organic conditions. This exclusive cuvée will seduce you with its balance and purity. The aromas are delicate and refined, reminiscent of white flowers, citrus and white fruit. Notes of lime blossom and honeysuckle give way to an indulgent apricot base. On the palate, it's a fine wine with character. Perfectly balanced, it seduces with its luscious fruitiness and lovely freshness on the finish.
Domaine de Baccari (a shortening of the beautiful name of the Baccharis flower) is located in the Meknes region, the heart of Moroccan winegrowing since ancient times. The hilly terrain and natural beauty of the area invite serenity. The vineyard is nestled in the foothills of the Middle Atlas at an altitude of 650m. Conducted by Nahla Bahnini and her team, in collaboration with French oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt, the vineyard is planted on fine red clay and soft limestone subsoil. The combination of this distinctive soil and a sunny but cool climate has given rise to a terroir conducive to the production of a wine with a strong identity. The vines flourish in a setting of olive and almond trees, favoring biodiversity. The vineyards are managed using integrated farming methods that respect the soil, the plants, the environment and people, with the aim of producing premium Moroccan wines that meet the highest international standards.
